I am truly heartbroken and distraught over the loss of Amy Winehouse. She was an incredible talent; a wonderful, expressive writer and raw vocalist who somehow turned relatable emotions into songs that resonated within our hearts. I will never forget her beautiful, sultry voice. People have disregarded that she was like the rest of us: a human; I’m pretty sure nobody would appreciate tasteless jokes and “it was expected” comments about someone they love who succumbed to such a tragic demise.

Rest in Peace Amy. We will always love you and remember you through your music, the way you deserve to be.
