A culture-focused, community-minded initiative that connects Ecuadorian artisans to a global audience needs a brand identity to support their mission.
Inspired by the owner’s personal connection to Ecuador, a one of a kind logo was crafted to represent Ecuador’s gorgeous, diverse landscape (mountains, valleys & bodies of water) and the leaves of banana trees that the owner’s grandfather grew on Playa Seca, the land he owned.
The visual identity adapts to tell the brand story across different applications – representing the handcrafted traditions, skill and care that artisans use to create one of a kind objects, from textiles and blankets to housewares.
Like a bridge connecting the past and the future, the identity celebrates the heritage, respect and energy of Playa Seca's impactful mission.
